SIGLA on WHEELS
Rolling our portable jewellery cabinet to our next pit stop - Florence. We will be exhibiting at MIDA International Craft Festival @officialmida from tomorrow 🛞
Over the past few months we have been developing a travelling jewellery cabinet called SIGLA on WHEELS, conceived as a way to bring our first collection into direct contact with new audiences. It grew from a desire to connect more personally outside traditional retail and e-commerce structures.
The idea draws on the history of travelling salespeople as well as the private rituals of jewellery storage. Our research has explored the eccentric and ingenious ways people have transported goods and shaped the experience of buying and selling, often developing inventive solutions through necessity, from Madame Tussaud’s early travelling exhibition wagons to door-to-door salesmen in the 1950s on roller skates.
Designed in London with design partners @_theotan and @cest__lavi , the cabinet transitions between luggage and display. Sized to fit within Eurostar dimensions, it has already travelled 1,200 km from London to Milan. The piece appears as a wheelie suitcase that seamlessly opens into an interactive jewellery cabinet. Handcrafted in aluminium with functioning windows and doors, the central vitrine allows viewers to peer inside and discover the jewellery. Details such as portable mirrors and wine glass holders create an experience that combines a sense of fun and luxury.
Tonight we are celebrating the cabinet’s first stop as part of Milan Design Week before it rolls on to its second stop @officialmida in Florence. Come and see us between 6 and 9pm for aperitivo! 🛞

Year of the Horse! SIGLA landed in Hong Kong last week for the International Diamond, Gem & Pearl Convention. We met vintage jewellery dealers, tested the latest technological innovations, and sourced some incredible gemstones for upcoming commissions! back next year, having made some new friends & jewellery wizards🏮
@_theotan and @cest__lavi , created this beautiful paper display for our London collection viewing yesterday. Their paper techniques (all by hand) mirrored some of the motifs in our CORE collection. Viewers could interact with the display, reach into the holes, unfurl the chains and use our lamp as a spotlight to light the gemstones and details.
It was such a warm and uplifting turn out with friends and new supporters who have found SIGLA organically. A fun way to celebrate being open for 6 weeks!
Thank you to those who showed up (and avoided spilling their bloody mary on the table) and we look forward to future moments to show people SIGLA in the flesh!
