Meet Amber Kamat 2.0 Owner of It’s Not Complicated Organizing (est. 2018), based in Atlanta, GA. 💜 A proud BGWO member, Amber was first featured in April 2024—and we’re excited to highlight her evolution. My most treasured memory of my auntie Kathy was buying artwork with her. It’s hard to believe this happened 21 years ago, but I still remember it so clearly. I had just bought my first car—a yellow Volkswagen Beetle—and we drove to Z Gallerie in Pasadena, CA, a furniture and décor store that was very popular at the time. I remember how excited my auntie was when she found “Jivin in Jamaica”. It was the very first piece of artwork she ever purchased for her apartment. The funniest part? It wouldn’t fit in my trunk, so we had to strap it to the top of my car. I was so stressed driving all the way home, trying to make sure it didn’t fly off! What I remember most vividly is how she felt—her joy, her excitement, her pride. That moment stayed with me. It’s one of my most treasured memories because she taught me to truly appreciate and get excited about collecting art—and to treasure it always. Her piece hangs in our home now. Every time I walk by Jivin in Jamaica, I’m reminded of our beautiful moment we shared. Happy Birthday Kathy. I miss you. 🪄@incorganizing 📸 @mm_photo_inc
