Congratulations to our Q1 Impala’s of the Quarter - Kelli and Sam! Kelli and Sam work tirelessly as our social coordinators to plan and execute fun events to bring our team together. We are so grateful for everything they do for our team 💙 More about Sam Forde: How many years have you been on the Impala Racing Team? Just over 4 years (since Jan 2022) What is your favorite (running/race) distance and why? 5k - You have to go hard, but it’s over soon. And if it doesn’t go as hoped, you can recover quickly and race again soon after. What’s your favorite place to run? The bluffs along the ocean in Wilder Ranch State Park, in Santa Cruz. Soft dirt and ocean views. If someone were to ask you, “Why do you run?” How would you respond.? It gives me a sense of freedom, challenges me, and I love that I can explore new areas, run solo, or run with friends. Are you currently training for anything in particular.? Aquathlon National Championships in Michigan next month (1k lake swim/5k run) More about Kelli Hashimoto: How many years have you been with the Impala Racing Team? 2.5 years — I joined in Fall 2023 What’s your favorite distance (running/race) and why? 5K — it’s the distance that got me into road running, and there’s nothing quite like the adrenaline (and pain cave) of a 5K Where is your favorite place to run? Trails in Marin and the South Bay If someone were to ask “why do you run?” How do you respond? Running has taken me to incredible places and pushed me alongside some of my favorite people — I can’t imagine my life without it What’s your next race? Broken Arrow ⛰️
