🌸 Spring is in full effect, June is around the corner, and we’re two weeks out from celebrating Summer at Freedom Side on 5/29! If we’ve been quiet on socials, it’s because we are going NONSTOP to get ourselves (and our space 😉) ready for the school year! 🌱So much is happening *so* fast on the Freedom Side. Honestly, we can’t keep all to ourselves…you gotta come through and get into this good news! 📀Our beloved pals @illdoots and @olwfm will be back bringing all the hopeful, heart-full contagious joy of their music!! We’ll also be making art and writing letters: to our loved ones behind the walls, and to our very first class of students.🥹 🧃This is an all-ages event, and everyone is invited. We’ve got spirited and spirit-free libations 5-7 for happy hour and folks with early bedtimes, whatever your age! 🧡 As usual, this is a free event: You’re welcome to give as you’re able, but don’t let it be a barrier! 🫱🏽‍🫲🏿If you’re someone who’s ready to learn more about contributing to our work, @rg_philly ’s FSS working group will be on the ground talking to folks about how you can help us build an organization that will last! 💞We’re so looking forward to our future families, community partners, new neighbors & teammates, and old friends coming through and connecting. 💛Save the date, a dance, and something to screenprint! SEPT 5 LINEUP DROP!! Fam, we’re two weeks out from our event, and we couldn’t be more excited! 💖💞Introducing our artist lineup!! 💞💖 We’re turning the tables, and so are our DJs!  For the back to school edition, DJ Ella opens the night from 5-6:30, and @olwfm brings us home 8-10pm!   Annnnd we’re stoked because Ill Doots is taking the stage! Last spring Covid cancelled their performance, but we’ll have the full band with us Friday night, bringing their brilliance, energy and imagination to Freedom Side! We’re so excited to host them, and for y’all to connect with their music! 🛸🩵✨ Our beloved pals from @phillychildcarecollective will be onsite with activities and creative care space for the youngest members of our movement. 🍓Additionally, we’ll have some interactive live art spaces…make sure you bring something to screen print! Some of our most beloved community members will hop on the mic, and we’ve got major news we want to share, you won’t wanna miss a thing. Happy hour starts at 5, so show up early and stay late!  We just can’t wait to be with you. Come stretch summer, and start the school year right with freedom side!
