🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴☠️The Mutena Flag🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴☠️“Mutenalaştırma” is only one of the terms propsed in Turkish for the English word gentrification signifying the change in the physical texture of neighbourhoods with the arrival of new inhabitants from a higher socio-economic level, especially in rundown centers of the city which have historical value. The word “mutenalaşma” (mutena:1- carefully done, elaborate 2-select, exclusive) first used by Çağlar Keyder. The study of urban space is bound to gentrification as cities are continuously changes due to govermental monopolies. Therefore, to disregard the truth of gentrification is to discount the realities of urban metamorphosis.
Die Glocke — found objects, 2026
The word “die Glocke” once named a bell. Over time it became a silhouette, a form that migrated across tools, domestic objects, butter domes, cake covers, skirts, flowers, and even body parts.
In this intervention, blue “Glocke” objects can be rearranged. Like language itself, the form shifts and reproduces meaning through repetition
Exhibited at BBAW as part of a group exhibition on linguistics.

I’m so thankful for everyone who made this possible, who worked so hard, and who helped this story come to life.
It was an ecstatic time we had in this amazing architectural masterpiece, and I’m so proud of all of us.
