FOSCO MARAINI. PHOTOGRAPHS BY A CITLUVIT – Exhibition Opening The first UK solo exhibition dedicated to Fosco Maraini arrives at @iiclondra . Featuring over 70 photographic prints, the show explores the work of this remarkable Italian ethnologist, writer, mountaineer and traveller. From Japan to the Middle East and the Karakoram mountains, Maraini documented cultures, people and landscapes through a deeply personal lens. The exhibition brings together portraits, travel images and mountain landscapes, all shaped by his unique worldview as a Citluvit — a “Citizen of the Moon on a Study Visit to Earth”. A project organised and supported by ICI London. An exhibition curated by @laraveroner and @sandraromitolondon . Special thanks to @fondazione.alinari.fotografia and Gabinetto Scientifico Letterario G.P. Vieusseux (@gabinettovieusseux ). ITALIAN CLASSICS – A Cinematic Journey through Italian #Western Join us at @iiclondra for a year-long celebration of Italian cinema. In collaboration with film expert Nick Walker, we present 12 iconic films over 12 months — and the entire series is free. Next screening: Per un pugno di dollari(1964), directed by Sergio Leone.
