x @sendchinatownlove We wrote a book! We are proud to present Made Here: Recipes & Reflections from NYC’s Asian Communities, featuring 60+ recipes from 40+ restaurants and businesses. Made Here is far more than just a cookbook. It’s a vivid, expansive celebration of NYC’s Asian culinary diversity, highlighting more than 18 cultures’ cuisines, spanning 24 neighborhoods. From Williamsburg to Washington Heights, businesses across our city have shared not only their recipes but also an intimate view into the kitchens and people behind the scenes.
This colossal, 352-page volunteer-led effort aims to bring you a taste and view into NYC’s Asian culinary diversity at home. We’ve spent much of the last 2 years running around our city conducting dozens of interviews, photographing and eating delicious food, testing recipes, and writing tens of thousands of words, all while meeting many incredible people along the way. This book is a celebration of some of the individuals who have made New York the city it is, and of the city which has in turn made its impact on them. We can’t wait for you to read it.
