New work for Dior: Crafting Fashion Exhibition.šāØI created a 1/2 scale garment celebrating @scaddotedu mascot, the Bee, which is also an important symbol to the house of @dior
āØSuch a pleasure to work on this piece, and Iām already imagining it in full scale for myself!
Denim is central to @igdalyah and this look is my take on a classic Dior silhouette. Curving lines of topstitching trace the flight path of bees across the garment, overlapping and intersecting to represent the many seamstresses and patternmakers from different walks of life who come together within the atelier to create for the Dior woman. The lines are intentionally imperfect, crossing and diverging but still working in harmony to accentuate the New Look hourglass shape. Denim, as a universal textile rooted in labor, is paired with classic honey gold topstitching to reinforce both craftsmanship and heritage. The look is completed with a matching hat.
The skirt continues this idea of movement and structure through elongated seam lines that mirror the flight path of the bee. A removable train extends from the back, adding volume and drama while allowing the silhouette to shift between a more structured, everyday form and a more expressive, couture moment. This adaptability reflects the duality of the atelier, where garments are both functional and elevated, and where transformation is always part of the process. Together, the look is a reflection of the atelier itself. Collaborative and always in motion.
The exhibition is open to the public from April 16 to August 23, 2026 at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film in Atlanta.

Denim has always been my foundation. Reshaping it, manipulating it, transforming it into something new. To now bring that perspective into this collaboration feels so full-circle.
