We’re waving a fond à bientôt to Edinburgh’s favourite Frenchman and @bongoclub.edinburgh superfan, @idefix.audio who swapping Cowgate cobbles for London bus lanes. 🚌
We never quite managed to give every artist from last week their flowers, but there’s no way Nick was leaving without a shout. His first proper night out was with us in 2017, and from then on, he basically had Bongo on direct debit: first in, last out, always grinning dead centre, even when the rest of us were running on fumes. Before his masters took over, you’d spot him every single week be it rain, shine, or a midweek hangover.
Nick’s DnB credentials are ironclad. If there was a half-decent night on, he’d already clocked it, probably told you about it, and was two steps ahead on the group chat. The kind of guy you’d try to hand a flyer to, only for him to say, “Oui, I’ve already got my ticket.” If you ever caught Nick giving it a wee skank on the Bongo dancefloor, you knew the music was on point. 🔥
So here’s to you, Nick... cheers for the energy, the patter, and the years of holding down the floor. London’s lucky and Bongo will always have a warm Red Stripe tinnie with your name on it. 😂

Idéfix is an artist who predominantly specialises in Neurofunk Drum & Bass, yet you can also find him exploring the soundscapes of Dubstep, Garage and Breaks.
Starting out his music career by joining the Edinburgh University Electronic Music Society in 2019, he progressed to playing popular events around the capital, notably multiple Electrikal events; regular bookings at Midnight Bass; and slammed a huge set for Alien Disko last August. His sets never disappoint when exploring the realms of Neurofunk. From distorted, rippling baselines to high-octane, rhythmic percussion. Be sure to know this set will be a hard-hitter from start to finish!
Idéfix is one who’s name & face is well recognised in the underground scene in the Scottish capital, both behind the decks and as a supportive punter! There’s a good reason why we’ve invited Idéfix back, come join us to find out 🤫
