Microcosm - the debut EP of Scottish producer imo-Lu - is out today! 👏🍾 Deeply proud to release this conceptual listening experience from an artist who was ready to take the next step in her journey. The 5 tracks on Microcosm sample home videos from 1997-2003, incorporating conversations with her late grandmother and exploring the theme of incomplete childhood memories. Musically, this EP is deep, cinematic, introspective and melodic. It's also punchy, gritty in moments, and hits just as hard in the club as it does in your headphones. Thank you imo-Lu for giving us the first proper artist project on Rosebay Music! 🌹

piano sketch no. 5 of [???] a few mins of a much longer warm-up for dancers at @rcsofficial this morning, taught by @ruthmillsdance 😌 using sustain on the high-register scale passages creates a really nice undulation which is kind of like an irl reverb/delay shimmer effect. a cool way of creating an atmosphere while still leaving a lot of space! (and a fun meeting of my piano and production tekkers)
