The vision was clear, bold, and ambitious: to recreate Noni’s village of Amaokwe Item, Bende LGA, Abia State 🌿
In Igbo tradition, the traditional marriage takes place in the bride’s village and since not everyone could travel, we brought the village to them.
Many thought it was a challenge… but Christine of @theweddingguruu welcomed it with open arms. She didn’t just understand the brief, she felt it. What she created went beyond our imagination from girls braiding each other’s hair, elders playing board games, traditional dancers welcoming guests… every detail, every texture told a story. She didn’t just decorate a space, she transported us.
And the best part? How easy she was to work with. Accommodating, trusting, and patient even when I changed the dancefloor at the 99th hour and insisted on a lion head centerpiece 😅 She made it work, and it was stunning.
Thank you, Christine, for honoring the culture and exceeding every expectation. This wasn’t just décor .. it was home 🤍✨
