Tomorrow is one year since we released Absent Lovers. Massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to listen and share are music. It means more than we can put into words.
Massive thank you to @shadowcartography for the incredible artwork and @translationlossrecords for releasing the album.
“Listening to ‘Tides of Oppression’ its hard to believe that the line-up features members whose day jobs are of the monstrously heavy variety. The Vocals for instance are soulful and sensitive, nothing growled or shrieked, imagine Darryl from Glassjaw in his lighter, less anguished moments. Musically it leans towards shimmering Pop, a sound that seemingly contradicts the track’s title, a promising start.” From the review by @comingupforblair79
“Absent Lovers is a sprawling record of lingering melodies, delicate synths, and bristling ambient textures, one that dares to interrogate the spaces between forlorn desire and bitter regret, the inner territory of self and the restless yearning of solitude “ - Owen Morawitz of @thepitchofdiscontent
More to come soon!

Rejected cover of our new single, “Violence,” which premiered Aug 21 (the 10th anni of the release of our first full-length, “Forgive Yourself”). The other cover has a cat on it, and cats beat everything. Go check out the song anywhere, including @bandcamp
On the 10th anniversary of the release of Publicist UK’s album, “Forgive Yourself,” Moth Hospital Records brings you a brand new song by the band! As singer Zack Lipez writes, “Publicist UK has risen from the maws of defeat and mental higgledy-piggleddy-ness. Stronger, albeit more odd, and ready to get slapped around by the universe one more time!” Go stream this song anywhere you stream songs (except YouTube) including Bandcamp. Links at MothHospital.com
NEW PUBLICIST UK SONG! Exactly 10 years ago, @relapserecords put out our album “Forgive Yourself.” Since then we went on tours with some great bands and we played a couple festivals and we played on a @wnyc show (where we met @radiolab host @jadabumrad in the hallway, and he told us he likes metal), and then we had one of our songs on a @netflix show. We also wrote tons of new music for a new album. But we also got busy with our bands/projects and we also dealt with a whole bunch of other “life” stuff. We now have a full album or more of songs written and home-recorded, but we’re no longer on Relapse. (Turns out, one of the things about being on a label is that you have to be active.) Fittingly or ironically or predictably, we’re back to how this whole project started in the first place: posting one of those demos (albeit, one where we put some effort into trying to make it sound good). Via my very own little label, @mothhospital Records, please go enjoy the song “VIOLENCE” on any streaming service, including @bandcamp . Hopefully this has similar results to when we did it the last time...
Jared got Dat Cake 😍

@axispdc thanks for providing some sick pedals for the campaign rewards!
We've noticed that a lot of bands get softer over time, like that peach or plum you forgot about in your fridge. You get excited to dig into a nice, solid, juicy stone fruit, but instead, your thumb plunges into a soft, weak mess of what used to be.
Of what once was.
That's exactly what we pontificated as we wrote and recorded this new album.
Each song is a succulent morsel in a fucking chainmail horn of plenty, just waiting for you to fucking gorge on!
New album coming 2026. Support the Kickstarter today.

Thanks to @axispdc for providing some (sold out) pedals for this campaign!
After 13 incredible years signed with Season of Mist Records, we’re now officially independent.
No label means no safety net. We’re now financially responsible for everything ourselves: studio time, vinyl pressing, artwork, videos, PR, distribution, and more.
Independence gives us full control of our future, but it also means we’re relying on our fans more than ever before to make it happen.
If you believe in supporting bands directly, now’s your chance. Claim your exclusive vinyl variant and merch today for our upcoming new album!
Our Kickstarter is now live: let’s make this album together.
