With my friend earlier today:::we spoke about reoccurring signs and symbols of duality and pairs.
We spoke about life and death and the spaces in between.
At the art exhibition I mentioned aspects of it that felt as if they were likely influenced by Lynch: matter in the shadows, static, patient filmmaking, the underbelly of what we deem perfection. It’s not unusual for the topic of David Lynch to emerge in conversation, but this one felt especially relevant and timely, a reminder that death is but a transition/transformation.
His impact does not go unnoticed, in a way he seems eternal, immortalised by his spirit, grace and innovation.
We are very lucky to have been around at the same time as Lynch, one my biggest influences - in so many facets of life.
Life should be blissful, and blissful doesn’t mean just a small happiness. It’s huge. It is profound.
