Redance is a New Orleans-based DJ and producer originally from Venezuela with Chilean roots, raised in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale underground club scene. Developing a passion for music at age 11, Redance crafts sets focusing on thundering low-end, soulful acapellas, and experimental grooves, aiming to create hot, sultry dancefloors.

Blending Afro-Caribbean rhythms with her Afro-Panamanian roots, Areta doesnโt just play music. She creates musical experiences that recharge the spirit of those in the crowd. โUltimately, my goal is to get people out of their minds and fully into their bodies, to the point where theyโre releasing the stresses they carry and connecting with others through movement,โ she says.

Moods at @icehouseradio this month will be featuring @gayingmantis , aka Paul Chavarria, who will be making their HTX DJ debut.
They are a multidisciplinary artist who prior to moving to Houston was an integral part of the queer community in Marfa, TX as a DJ and textile artist. Paul and their partner Christopher co-founded Pride Marfa in 2022, which was considered a historic milestone for the LGBTQ+ community in far-west Texas. ๐
