Hey, it’s Tee Parks… but the kiddos call me “Ms. Tee” 💛🎨✨ I’m so proud to be facilitating a new pilot program for COCA/SLPS schools 🏫🖌️📚 Show Me St. Louis — Through the Eyes of Young Artists 🌆👩🏽‍🎨👨🏽‍🎨 This curriculum centers on learning the rich themes of St. Louis history, paired with immersive visual art activities 🎭🖍️🖼️ This week, our scholars learned about the history of Dred and Harriet Scott and how profoundly their story shifted history ✊🏽📖✨ Students explored the role of anti-slavery demonstrators and created protest signs, crafting a powerful message about what advocacy needed to look like for Dred and Harriet Scott to evolve and move the city towards ending slavery 🪧🖤❤️💚 So proud of these brilliant young artists for learning, creating, and using art as a voice 🎨🗣️🌟 Stay Tuned for the final vibes 🫶🏾 Program Written & Facilitated by: @htpcreate ✍🏽✨ Facilitator: @heyteeparks 💫
