@estillvoice started in 2009. My first introduction to this work was done by the wonderful Mary Hammond, Maureen Scott and Anne-Marie Speed

It was a big deal and a game changer.
At first it wasn’t easy. I’ll be honest! To be a good singer, who has almost always been called a”natural singer”, “natural voice”, “natural talent” and other nice things, and then be “ brought to the reality”, was a bit tough on the ego and singers identity. Especially when that identity had been nourished with phrases like: “you’re a soprano, you don’t need lower pitches”, “you’re a natural, there’s nothing I can teach you” and so forth. I was unhappy with my performance at times, and couldn’t get answers to problems, because they weren’t, real issues, do remeber I was a natural talent😉 But luckily the Estill teachers where fantastic and they certainly didn’t let me go feeling sad about my “hurt singers ego” and neither did they let me off easily. I’ve work hard and had the unbeliavable luck to have a theater
@hktfi , that has made it possible for the houseactors to get classes from the top teachers in The Estill Voice Model and that I have had the possibility to study alongside the best vocalcoaches I have personally ever met. Those two are Ian Nicholas and Tim Richards at
@howthevoiceworks .
I’ve continued to study the model and focusing on getting my EMT done. I don’t know when exactly, but I know it will.
If someone would have suggested 20 years ago,that I will put my active acting career on hold, resign from my home theater to pursue a career as a vocal coach, I think I would have laughed at them😂 This is not a thing I dreamed of, but it’s definitely become a passion, and something I can’t imagine ever quitting.
My journey is at its beginning and I’m so excited to see where this path takes me!
The people I get to meet and work with, who share their hopes and their fears with me, as they are doing their best in a business(there’s no business like showbisness), that is struggling in a place of uncertainty, is just remarkable! So thank you to those who guide me and to those who let me walk beside them. Keep singing❤️🙏🏻
