“when you’re a kid, summer doesn’t even feel like the rest of your life. there’s life… and then there’s summer.” - Mike Birbiglia (@birbigs ) ☀️ i kept thinking about this all season — that magic feeling ✨of summer existing in its own universe and tried to make sure my kids felt it, too. pool weekends, rodeo nights, General Store ice cream, gondola rides, concerts, the start of elementary school for Isla, Arbor taking off on his pedal bike, and one very special engagement celebration 💍🍾 later … we did just that 💛. here’s to the kind of summer that still feels separate from the rest of life 🌻.

✨🏔️Snowmass Staycation 🏔️✨ from the farmer’s market to gondola rides, face painting, fire truck tours, and spotting a cub 🐻, there wasn’t a mundane minute. Grateful for the magic of where we call home and for sweet summer days with my people ☀️🥰.

India was the trip of a lifetime (though I’m already planning our eventual return). what a magical, lively, beautiful, complicated, chaotic, wonderful place. thanking my lucky stars for everything and everyone that aligned to make this trip possible. now home to my babies!

Another year of raising tiny humans among big mountains 🏔️. Grateful for the giggles, the muddy boots, the matching red bow, and the chance to call this valley home. Sending love from our family to yours this season 🤎.

so grateful for an incredible stay in southern India - the sights, the smells, the tastes and most of all, the incredible hospitality. a special thank you to our hosts, Stan & Ashwita, for the warm welcome and treating us like family.

Happy ✌️ to my guy 🎉! Watching Arbor transform from a sweet baby to a spirited toddler has filled my life with wonder and love. Every giggle, every hug and every stolen pastry 🥐 (pic 7 for proof) is a reminder of time passing. Keeping it real here — I’ve been putting this off for the better part of a month. This was a melancholy filled year for me, a bittersweet twinge watching my youngest baby grow. Here is to more adventures ahead for my sweet boy 💙🌟.

my favorite little girl turned 4 a few weeks ago. what a wild ride it’s been. when she was born during the depths of Covid in 2020, I couldn’t have fathomed the joy, light and curiosity she’d bring into our lives on a daily basis. she truly is our summer girl ☀️. I feel so grateful to witness the person she’s becoming.

Arbor Theo, aka Arbs, Arby, Piglet, Hammy, Teddy Bear, Little Big Guy - you are ONE! you are a bruiser with a heart of gold. big hands and soft eyes. a smile that melts me. although I wouldn’t have admitted it in the moment, I’d go back to those sleepless newborn nights in a heartbeat. this past year flew by, and before my eyes, you do everything with enthusiasm, love and speed! i’m reminded daily how fleeting time really is. and you, my boy, are “zero to hero,” we say! you weren’t the first to make me a mom, but I cherish the bond we have. I love that you met ~this~ version of me. a mom more confident and calm. a mom different than the mom your sister met; I knew when everything was just right for us - an international vacation, when to start formula, trips just the two of us, when not to cry over every scratch and bruise you so proudly earned (and there have been many!). thank YOU for being here. you were the missing piece to our family, and we love you.
