Tomorrow night (Friday 1/23) @glo_platform will present THE LIFE FROM WITHIN, a choreographed quartet by @lauristallings , responding to Frank Stella’s K.3 sculpture through movement and music. Watching Lauri and glo create this work of art has been a joy to behold. Due to the weather forecast, the date was moved to Friday from Sunday. Still at 7 PM with doors opening at 6:30. This week we opened the pop up exhibition Art in the Village, in Buckhead Village. Featuring the monumental sculpture K.3, 2007 by Frank Stella which has been tucked away for almost 20 years, the show celebrates Stella along with Atlanta artists whose work takes inspiration from his legacy. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. It truly took a village! Huge thanks to @micaelarobinson for sharing the journey with me. And thank you @jamestown.lp for their support in sharing this amazing artwork with the Atlanta community.
The exhibition will run through the end of the year.

Installing this amazing sculpture by Frank Stella was not an easy task but it was a labor of love. Tonight we open our space to share the piece with the community. We also transformed the space into a gallery with artists inspired by Stella’s work in some way. . All together showing that it takes a village. I’m so thankful to every single person who pitched in, worked crazy hours and gave of time they didn’t have to spare. Most importantly, I am grateful to Micaela Robinson @micaelarobinson for making this entire project possible. Watching her in action is like following a shooting star. Been working on a project for the past I-don’t-know-how-many-years but it’s all coming together and next week we will celebrate this incredible artwork K-3 2007 by Frank Stella. After being in storage for almost 20 years, we finally got it moved and installed in @buckheadvillagedistrict . The show opens next Thursday 11/13 from 5-8 and will run until the end of the year. More exciting details to come with great thanks to @jamestown.lp and all who are making it possible.
It took three decades but I finally got to witness Louis Kahn's masterpiece and Jonas Salk's mastermind. Thank you, @johnlobellvisionarycreative for the inspiration and knowledge to appreciate this beautiful place, between silence and light.
