It’s been just over a year since we broke ground on MOCA GA’s new building, and we’re excited to share a little sneak peek of how far we’ve come. Construction is in the home stretch, with major structural work complete, interiors taking shape, and our vision for this new home becoming clearer every day. 🎉🏗️ We can’t wait to open the doors and invite you into a space that gives us room to grow, experiment, and connect in new ways. We’re thrilled to be neighbors with Goat Farm and to be part of a growing creative campus and community. More sneak peeks coming soon. 👀

Yesterday marked an exciting and historic moment for MOCA GA as it officially broke ground on its new home at @thegoatfarm ! Surrounded by artists, supporters, and friends, the event was a celebration of MOCA GA’s incredible legacy and its bright, thriving future. In a powerful and symbolic ceremony, attendees poured vials of an original artifact from a rammed earth sculpture featured in MOCA GA’s inaugural exhibition MARTIN EMANUEL: SCULPTURE, into the very ground where the museum’s entryway will stand. This heartfelt act beautifully connected MOCA GA’s rich history with the exciting journey ahead. Thanks to support from everyone who contributed to the campaign, including individuals, foundations, and city and state donors, MOCA GA is creating more than just a museum. We are building a vibrant space where artists and the community can come together, inspire one another, and shape the future of Georgia’s contemporary art. Photography by Kaleigh Bish

Experience the shifting landscapes of Runaway Universe, on view at MOCA GA through January 10. Corrine Colarusso invites us to slow down and notice the quiet signals of the natural world. These works unfold like moments suspended in motion, offering space for contemplation, wandering, and connection to the everyday spectacular. If you missed Corrine Colarusso’s artist talk you can watch it online! Visit our website or the link in our bio. Runaway Universe is on view through January 10, 2026. From the shaggy landscape of the Okefenokee Swamp to her ordinary back yard, Corrine Colarusso has used landscape and observations of weather conditions, to map cycles of the day and seasons as parralel worlds to our inner selves. Her work connects us to the patterns and signals found within the language of rocks, reeds and vistas that glow. Like adventures in time passing, these restless clusters of reeds and grasses, towers of air and twilight, provide an arena for the meandering gaze, a channel to the everyday spectacular and a way to know the fugitive world.
