The gorgeous Gracie May Marshall @bumsandhoops
Gracie started circus at the age of 16 where she left her home in Ireland to join the National circus center of London youth program. After graduating and realising she wanted to specialise in hula hoops she set in search of the best teachers, Spin circus academy, Melbourne for circus hoops, Beijing internationalcircus school, China for handstand hoops, and Raw art summer school, Ukraine for hoop juggling, she
mixes all these techniques together for her own little hula hoop salad.
She has worked individually presenting her solo at cabarets and gala shows around the world, and as a ensemble member for Contemporary circus companies such as Circus Jukebox(Ireland), Lucent Dossier experience(USA) and 250 years of circus in 60 minutes (UK). Shes made three different hula hoop duos: Gremma Circus (Sweden), She formed duo Gracie&Cristian fusing hula hoops with acrobatics, which premiered in Teatro Circo Price in Madrid in 2020, and toured at festivals and theatres all around Europe. & worked with Hopscotch circus(be) in hula hoop theatre show #clickit. She is currently working with No Fit State Circus in their production SABOTAGE
Gracie will be teaching one of my favourite workshops Intro to Bramson Rolls and hoop rolling. Perfect for everyone from complete beginners to advanced hoopers!

Gail O’Brien is a hula hoop artist, teacher, and total hoop nerd from Northern Ireland who has been spinning, teaching, and generally obsessing over hoops for nearly 20 years.
Known for her fun, down-to-earth teaching style, Gail has a knack for breaking down tricky moves into something that actually makes sense.
She’s the founder of HoopSpin, where she designs and handcrafts hoops, and she’s taught workshops and performed all over the world, sharing her love of creative hoop movement.

Meet your teacher:
Kathrin is an autodidact, specializing in juggling and spoken word. She discovered her passion for contemporary circus through the juggling community,in which she also made her first steps on stage in 2011.
Since then, she has participated in numerous workshops on various topics such as creation, dance, composition, dramaturgy, light and Chekhov-technique.
She also attended the summer course Juggling and Music at the Stockholm University of the Arts.
Over the past few years, she has had the opportunity to perform and teach workshops in Europe, the USA
and Canada.
Her great affinity for communication, foreign languages and cultural identities of their speakers led her to
a BA in British Studies and in 2019, to poetry slams. Since then, she has written and
performed her own texts, in English,
German, and French.
In 2021, she began creating I Was Told., which premiered in August 2022 at the Spoken Word Festival Odense, Denmark, in collaboration with Dynamy Workspace.
Since then, it has toured all over Europe for example at Circusstad, On the Edge, EJC, Kingston Performing Arts Festival, Calm Down, Dear and many others.
Workshop: Balance in Movement
A fun approach to balances that everyone loves! We’ll syart with the basic principles of keeping objects in balance. Then we’ll be looking at playful ways into balances and learn how to move our body under our hoop balance as well as keeping our balance while the hoop is changing its position.

Meet your teacher: Jo Mondy
Jo Mondy is an internationally renowned hula hooper who has taught thousands of people to hoop all around the world. She first picked up a hoop in 2007 - at a class on Bondi beach in Sydney - and quickly got addicted to the joy of learning tricks and integrating them into creative movement.
When she moved to to the UK in 2010, she built a strong and vibrant hooping community in Brighton and then went on to tour the world teaching at many major hoop events such as Hoop Camp (USA), GHC (Germany), SWhoop (UK), RendezVoup (France)
In 2019 Jo set up her online hooping classes and her lessons have been downloaded 4000+ times and featured on the front page of the Guardian and the BBC. Her popular YouTube tutorials have 300k views.

Express yourself! - Hoop flow workshop’
Come find your hoop flow with Jo! This workshop is all about finding your unique expression in your hoop-dance. We’ll start with some fun movement games to get your whole body warmed up and moving to the beat. We’ll then move onto a series of creative exercises that will help you discover what hooping style, tricks and movements feel right for you and how to incorporate them into your flow.
