Meet your Belfast Hoop Gathering teacher. The gorgeous Gracie May Marshall @bumsandhoops Gracie started circus at the age of 16 where she left her home in Ireland to join the National circus center of London youth program. After graduating and realising she wanted to specialise in hula hoops she set in search of the best teachers, Spin circus academy, Melbourne for circus hoops, Beijing internationalcircus school, China for handstand hoops, and Raw art summer school, Ukraine for hoop juggling, she mixes all these techniques together for her own little hula hoop salad. She has worked individually presenting her solo at cabarets and gala shows around the world, and as a ensemble member for Contemporary circus companies such as Circus Jukebox(Ireland), Lucent Dossier experience(USA) and 250 years of circus in 60 minutes (UK). Shes made three different hula hoop duos: Gremma Circus (Sweden), She formed duo Gracie&Cristian fusing hula hoops with acrobatics, which premiered in Teatro Circo Price in Madrid in 2020, and toured at festivals and theatres all around Europe. & worked with Hopscotch circus(be) in hula hoop theatre show #clickit. She is currently working with No Fit State Circus in their production SABOTAGE Gracie will be teaching one of my favourite workshops Intro to Bramson Rolls and hoop rolling. Perfect for everyone from complete beginners to advanced hoopers!

The time has come to gather! The sun has briefly shone, the studio is painted and stunning, the teachers are assembled and I want to see your faces. We have four amazing workshops lined up for a weekend of playtime for grownups, hoop giggles, beach visits, city sights and forest walks. Our venue is bang in the middle of Belfast perfect for seeing the city and eating good food and we will have a little adventure to see the Irish seaside too. We are excited to announce that the Show Development Residency in partnership with @roscommonartcentre has been awarded to Gracie Marshall (@bumsandhoops ) and Antonio Arbués (@antonio__arbues ) to remount and develop their show Hoop Tango. ⁠ ⁠ Gracie & Antonio are a duo From West cork & Lisbon, Taking techniques from hula hoops, acrobatics, hoop diving and using a common language of movement, They worked together on previous show ´fling ´and will reframe their repertoire between them of beautiful tricks, but making it relevant to us, Taking inspiration from Irish& Portugues folklore.⁠ ⁠ Hoop tango will explore two bodies and hoops moving with radical honesty, unwavering integrity & courage. ⁠ This is one of two residencies awarded under this opportunity in 2026. ⁠ Funded by @artscouncilireland ⁠, @roscommoncountycouncil and @roscommonartscentre

The end of sabotage!!! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you, it's been an incredible journey these last 4 years.
