Thank you @cliodhnaprendergast@katiejsanderson@dkilfeather and @ruthforsyth for inviting me on board the ‘ship. The weekend was so nourishing - from the food, to the practice and learning, to the endless beauty of laughter and landscape.

Collage is my go-to medium for workshopping art + psyche and teaching an arts-based research method informed by depth psychology. It was a total dream to witness a group of photographers build collage, exchange thoughts and ideas, and begin to dialogue with the symbolic language of their images. With collage deriving from the practice of photography, I wondered whether the conversation would steer towards a technical or aesthetic analysis. But no - this group dove straight into the heart of it. Each piece was brought to life by the story of its maker, and offered rich discussion for the group over the course of the weekend. ✨

Alltar is “otherworld” as gaeilge.
It is a club night and production concept fore-fronting Irish and inspired by the otherworld. The threshold doorway has served as a motif in all stage design of our festival pop ups, DIY gigs and club nights. (And simultaneously reflects the Alltar ‘A’).
@cairbreo and I launched the project in 2021 when we were commissioned by @bodyandsoulirl to be part of their film ÉRIU, by producing a music video for Súil Amhain in their walled gardens. Since then we’ve use the doorway as a symbol of liminality, transience, and the space of the deeper unknown that leads us underground.
With the logo I wanted to create something that was unfixed, and always transforming - like our language, our culture, and the spaces we inhabit. We are never in the same place doing the same thing, but the community and family that gather are steadfast.

Collage workshop goals were exceeded with the @toointoyou Self Love Club over valentines weekend. 😍💕
Too Into You is a campaign that is part of @womens.aid helping young people understand healthy loving relationships and identify signs of abuse. It can be hard in this crazy world of dating, but one thing is for sure - the Heart knows, even when the Head is doing all the talking ❤️💕😊

This is my dad, Kevin. He died on November 27th. I crawled into winter Dreamtime and have been giving this one time.
This kind of death cut deeply, because it was by his own hands, and there were no final words. Throughout the years I tried so hard to make him feel loved and see a life that was worth living for. It was an uphill battle that I eventually lost. What can we do when someone chooses to die? I can’t blame him or be angry. I just feel his sadness. What an awful feeling of isolation and loneliness when we have forgotten how love works, and that at the end of the day, we have to love ourselves enough to live.
Kevin had a magic about him that arose from his intense light and darkness. He was funny, methodical, animated, precise, thoughtful, ornery, resourceful and imaginative. He could feel with his whole heart and laugh with his whole body. He was the 5th kid out of 12. And I’m pretty sure at the age of 72 he was still a kid masked as a Harley-riding biker baddie.
He made it over to Ireland twice, (his passport photo pictured first) and I’m so glad he was able to meet my family here, both in-law and chosen. Tom naturally brought out every single beautiful morsel in that man, making him belly laugh and feel a sense of joy even tho he was often orientated towards being a grouch. It’s amazing what love can do. What listening can do. What empathy can do.
Just in case you are a family member or a curious close friend, Kevin’s obituary is in my link in bio. At the moment we have a bit of a pot open for support, as costs have been incurred not covered by his life insurance policy due to the nature of his death. My mom, brother and sister hope to make it to Ireland in the spring so we can do an ashes spreading in Ireland 💚🤍🧡
In the meantime myself, mom, Audrey, Tom and John (on FaceTime) had a small symbolic burial ceremony at my mom’s house in Michigan (pictured).
Almost 2 years ago to date, Dad gave me some really beautiful advice. “They will never care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
To all the ones who feel they’ve lost their way, we care a lot. Love is there. Keep your light on 🕯️

Dreampool is a place, a portal, and a project. It is an evolving, nationwide collaboration of dreamers who come to tend its waters through sonic immersions and deep exploration. It is a collective waking dream where all are welcome.
Guided by @holistica_wild , Dreampool unfolds as a deep sonic immersion into the imaginal, accompanied by a live electronic set of ambient and experimental sound by Josh Sampson.
The ritual begins with an offering of blue lotus tea, an ancient ally of visionary states, to ground you in the space and prepare you for the experience. You are then guided into a restorative position to undergo a 45-minute sound journey exploring inner archetypes, guides, and landscapes. Upon waking, we allow the dream to speak through writing, reflection, and exchange.
In symbolic resonance of Kari Cahill’s charcoal painting exhibition ‘Glinting at the Edge of’ showing in the Segotia Gallery for Dublin Gallery Weekend, this Dreampool explores themes of fire and transformation.

Dreampool is an immersive journey into the dreamworld guided by a live set of ambient and electronic sound.
On November 8th, this 2 hour event will be held in the Restorative Space at Segotia yoga + art gallery in Rathmines.
Beginning with a ceremony of Blue Lotus dream tea you’ll be lead through a practice of Active Imagination to meet inner guides, unlock personal wisdom and experience the magic of psyche.
Upon waking from Dreampool’s imaginal landscape, you’ll be prompted through creative writing to interpret your dream and share it in the somatic environment of your fellow dreamers.

It is a portal, a place and a project.
In this contemporary ritual, live electronic sound and processed vocals prompt listeners to journey through imaginal landscapes where new personal knowledge emerges and where unifying connections are made in community.

This project merges intentional use of space, psyche + sound to investigate new forms of contemporary ritual in Ireland. It is an evolving, nationwide collaboration of dreamers who come to tend its waters through sonic immersions and waking dreams.
It is an attempt to reawaken an ancient method of remembering.
