My short film Celeste in the Summer is finished and currently being submitted to festivals around the world. - It’s a story about control, manipulation, desire, and AI. Even though I wrote this years ago, strangely enough, it feels more current than ever. Years in the making, in 2025 we finally got there, I’ve almost made this film a few times but it never quite materialised, so a huge thanks to my Producers @seanscottgriffin , @sydheather , @mattcollinsfilm , and Executive Producer Maxine Davidson for backing this from the start. ‘Rising: Still Waters’ offers ideas of hope, resilience, and finding your way once again when things seem to have hit a dead end. Inspired by Jasmine’s own reflections and our conversations, we made a film that reimagines her track Still Waters through the lens of a singular character - Rising is a meditation on transformation, a journey of self-acceptance and resilience. Reflecting on the early years of @mahogany sessions today. In the beginning, it was all about running around with a camera, honing our craft while enjoying the journey. As time passed, our concepts expanded, artists gained more prominence, and our audience grew but the values never changed. It's not the biggest artists that stand out from the 1000+ sessions we created. It's those moments when you meet an artist who blows you away in that moment. These remain my favourites, even now. Throughout the years, I often hear how @mahogany provided a platform for their growth. Underscoring that it's grown far beyond something my friends and I created in our early 20s. I'm just grateful that it's brought joy to people over the years, and we're still here! Forever love to my brothers @markmahogany @rickymundo_ for those years.
