Thirty years in, and still, nowhere and nothing else beats it.
The moguls were set. Two lines, one red and one blue, two sides for competition between Chamonix, Verbier Zermatt, Megève & Meribel. The crowd found its spot and somewhere up on the mountain, someone was already warming up in a costume that has absolutely no business being on a ski slope.
Boss des Bosses has always known what it is. No polish, no pretence — just the mountain, the people who love it, and a shared understanding that some days up here are simply beyond explanation.

This year held something even more special. Born from a bar argument in Val d’Isère in 1989 about which resort had the best skiers, Boss des Bosses quickly became the ultimate inter-resort mogul showdown.
What made it different? Not an individual knock-out race, but a team competition, where mountain towns came together to prove who truly ruled the bumps. Over the years, the event has brought together generations of skiers, seasonnaires, and characters of the alpine community; including the unforgettable Jamie “Stryker” Strachan, whose spirit and love for the mountains left a lasting mark on the scene.🤍🕊️

Born in Chamonix, this event features team-based freestyle, skiing, and snowboarding, known for its high-energy, fun and festive atmosphere - retro ski suit non obligatory but welcomed.
Hip Chalets co-founder Jamie Strachan was one of the first people involved with this event, along with @glenplake@camillejaccoux amongst other iconic skiers.
The 30 year anniversary is celebrating @jamie_strachan1 “Stryker” and it is going to be a very special day on the mountain, and later on at @lerouge_verbier .
Verbier is only a 45-minute drive from Chamonix and we offer all Hip Chalets guests a complimentary shuttle to and from the event.
