81 days ago, I had the privilege of showcasing my debut collection, Crystal Clear, at SA Menswear Week in Cape Town. The collection was a deeply personal reflection born out of self-discovery, boyhood curiosity, and the complex transition into young adulthood.
My first time presenting on such a significant platform. But standing backstage, watching my work move through the runway, I came face to face with who I am as a designer. Crystal Clear wasn’t just a collection it was a mirror. It taught me to see the intricate details that matter, the things I want to sharpen and carry into every future piece. It also made me confront my flaws, and for that, I’m grateful.
To all the incredible designers who shared the stage with me, thank you for the inspiration and community. And most importantly, thank you to our curator,
@thobekambane @therealjozicollective , for believing in emerging voices and giving us a space to speak through our work. Your support created more than a show it created a moment I’ll carry with me forever.
