In 2023 Providence-based slowcore pioneers, @thepinesofrome , returned from a 20-year hiatus and released ‘The Unstruck Bell’. We’re glad we didn’t have to wait another 20 years for their next installment.
The band has quietly returned with ‘When You Are As Full As The Moon’; 7 gorgeous new songs that meld Matthew Derby’s (@the_soundgun ) vocal twang and Americana storytelling with John Kolodij’s (@highaurad #) penchant for rich guitar textures and “countrygaze” elements.
The first single, “Kali’s Tongue”, is now streaming everywhere. The full digital album releases on 6/19.
