READ THE ROOM Coffee table books are becoming as much a part of home design as the furniture itself, adding color, character, and a sense of personality to a space. On Tennyson Street, Miller Lane Mercantile (@millerlanemercantile ) offers a thoughtfully curated mix of titles spanning art, interiors, fashion, travel, and more. Equal parts decor and conversation starter, these books are the kind you’ll want to leave open long after guests go home. READ MORE “ Read the Room” in our Spring 2026 issue, online, or download the digital version. PHOTOGRAPHER @ryceroni #hgco #hgcomag #homeandgarden #colorado #magazine #DenverDesign #ColoradoHomes #TennysonStreet #CoffeeTableBooks #DenverShopping #DenverBooks #DenverBookStore

ELEVATING THE DENVER MARKET Denver’s real estate market is expected to move at a slower pace in early 2026, with more listings and cautious buyers, according to Fantastic Frank (@fantasticfrankcolorado ) broker associate Stan Kniss. Despite broader market headwinds, demand for luxury condos in the urban core remains strong, driven by lifestyle amenities and cash buyers seeking premium city living. As interest rates and inflation stabilize, experts anticipate improved momentum later in the year. READ MORE “Elevating the Denver Market” in our Winter 25/26 issue, online, or download the digital version. PHOTOGRAPHER @fantasticfrankcolorado #hgco #hgcomag #homeandgarden #colorado #magazine #DenverRealEstate #FantasticFrank #ColoradoHousingMarket #DenverHousing #RealEstateTrends #ColoradoRealEstate

SOLAR HIPPIE Boulder architect David Barrett of Barrett Studio Architects (@barrettstudioarchitects ) helped shape Colorado’s sustainable design movement long before green building became mainstream, championing architecture that responds to climate, landscape, and community. Through decades of projects, teaching, and advocacy, Barrett’s “living architecture” philosophy has inspired generations of designers to create buildings that work in harmony with nature and place. READ MORE “Solar Hippie” in our Winter 25/26 issue, online, or download the digital version. PHOTOGRAPHER @jakeholschuh #hgco #hgcomag #homeandgarden #colorado #magazine #DavidBarrett #BarrettStudioArchitects #SustainableArchitecture #ColoradoArchitecture #GreenBuilding #renewableenergy #solarpower

The last shoot with my buddy @tomtom1983 before I left Denver at the beginning of the year. Loved that on our last shoot together we worked with a local craftsman and artist. It was intimate and personal, and a good one to leave on. I’ll forever be grateful to you Tom, these assignments filled my heart over the years. Thanks to Kay for being such a good subject and sharing his stories, go check out his amazing work at ellewoodworks.com For @hgcomag

Always a thrill to see a project we photographed featured in print! Home & Garden Colorado showcased this stunning home in their recent winter issue on stands now. This was a true collaboration. We partnered with I.D. Studio, led by Carolina Ailing; Andrew Hadley; Miller Custom Homes; and Eric Naughon of Electrical Logic. Perched at 9,500 feet, the home truly feels like it sits on top of the world, with endless views in every direction. We couldn’t have asked for better conditions on a beautiful fall day with the trees just reaching their peak color. As with all successful shoots, this was a team effort from start to finish. Everyone weighed in beforehand to align on the creative vision and photography goals. On shoot day, Carolina and her team meticulously prepped and styled each space, ensuring every detail was camera-ready. The final images are a testament to collaboration, preparation, and shared vision. We’re grateful to everyone involved for making the day such a success and thank you again to Home & Garden Colorado for featuring this incredible project in your beautiful magazine. #architechture #interiordesign #mountainliving #luxurylifestyle #architecturalphotographer @idstudiocb @miller_custom_homes @crestedbuttelightingdesign @hgcomag @crestedbuttelightingdesign @ericnaughton

TAILORED TONES Benjamin Moore’s (@benjaminmoore ) 2026 Color of the Year, Silhouette AF-655, is a rich espresso-brown shade inspired by the growing influence of fashion tailoring and classic suiting on interior design. The paint company highlights the warmth and versatility of brown tones, noting that the color pairs beautifully with metallics, lighter trims, and layered textures to create both cozy and dramatic spaces. Designed to bridge timeless style with modern sensibilities, the hue reflects a broader return to traditional design elements interpreted in fresh, contemporary ways. READ MORE “Tailored Tones” in our Winter 25/26 issue, online, or download the digital version. PHOTO @benjaminmoore #hgco #hgcomag #homeandgarden #colorado #magazine #BenjaminMoore #ColorOfTheYear #InteriorDesignTrends #HomeDesignInspiration #PaintColorTrends
