WHO’S AT HOME is an initiative for queer people and creatives in our community looking for space to stock and sell their stuff. Looking for a space where their products can be seen, felt, experienced and eventually sold in love for value.
Our ethos: "Space as a Solution", represents our commitment to provide affordable spaces for creative practitioners. Space to generate income in this weird economy/administration that does not cater to the unique needs of creative people.
This is our modest approach to fostering and nurturing new ideas and supporting the creative economy- because the creative sector currently employs about 4.2 million people across the five sub-sectors, making it the second largest employer in the country!
Spaces have the ability to define and shape the way we think…space is where experiences and practices happen, where new values are developed and exchanged, where communities are built, where subcultures are realised, and where diversified networks can form.
So we need more space. More space for artistic expression for our homegrown artists, places where we can develop our work, delve deeper into our own narratives, engage with our audiences in a supportive environment. Spaces that both integrate and define us; the creators, the consumers, mainstream, underground, love, rage, light, shadow and everthing in between - the whole shebang!
