Three years ago I married the most beautiful person I know. Who sees the world in such light, grace and hope. In the beautiful words of Sondheim “somebody to make me aware of being alive”, @tiffanyaquinovin is that person for me, when the world we see today is scary and feels hard to survive especially for queer people. She stands right beside me, just as frightened but we are persevering and more alive than ever cause we are doing it together as a family. I love you Tif. Thank you for being my wife and being the best momma to little Niko.
This week was Niko’s birthday. He is 1 years old (I know I cannot believe it either 😩) Last year I remember being in the hospital patiently waiting for you to arrive and wondering what you would look like. Now you are walking, eating everything we give you then screaming at us for not giving it to you fast enough and constantly trying to powerlift everything in our house (he really likes mimicking his mommy Tif).
Thank you for being our silly beautiful boy. We love you so much Niko. 💖
Life as of late
- Went on a family trip to Paris and Nice for Vivian and Aiman’s wedding.
- Niko got to spend time in Disneyland Paris.
- Niko got his first stomach virus on the trip 😩
- We packed everything and said good bye to our beautiful LA friends and family and moved to Vegas. (We miss you all so much)
- Tif and I bought a house in Henderson.
- Niko gets to spend time with his Lola and Lolo Aquino.
- I get to hang out with my brother and sister 👯♂️ I haven’t lived in the same place with them for 18 years.
- WNBA is having a moment right now and we’re just living in it. IYKYK
- Niko is growing up so fast that we can’t keep up with it but love every second of it.
I’ve been avoiding social media for some time now because honestly motherhood is a massive responsibility and with these big changes it was difficult to compartmentalize what mattered most. Tif and I are slowly regaining our sense of self again (sounds bleak lol) and learning to share our beautiful gay life. Cause guess what…representation matters y’all. Also if you are around in Vegas come say Hi 👋

We are so happy to be your moms. It has been 2 months since you came into this world and with big Leo energy you stole the show. We love you so much. Now if you could do us a solid and let us sleep once and awhile, we would be eternally grateful.

I want to thank my incredible doula Breana @mysticmothering for being there the whole time during the pregnancy and especially the long inducement process. She made me feel safe, comfortable and validated.
Most of all I want to thank my incredible wife @tiffanyaquinovin who said yes to even having this baby 😭 on our third date pretty much and constantly being the best partner through our ivf journey, the daily struggles to set up our new life and being there to help me during the pregnancy. I love you so much honey 🍯

Heather is pregnant with our first baby ya’ll. Sigh* There’s so much to say but the thought of it leaves me speechless.
Heather never ceases to amaze me. The journey has been filled with many tests of our patience and perseverance. Heather though, keeps on moving no matter what life presents. It inspires me everyday.
We are so incredibly grateful for our support system: our loving parents, our super-hero friends, and our amazing family, @kindbody and more. We’re nothing without you all.
