Ladies in Mograph is now LIMBS.
We are evolving to be more conscious advocates of underrepresented individuals working in the field of motion graphics- including (and especially) those who did not identify with the inadvertently exclusive term "Ladies". We are ready to leave that name behind in favor of something more descriptive of the basic function of this group.
LIMBS is a casual social gathering seeking to expand and celebrate diversity in motion design, especially where roles of leadership are concerned.
We are a community of womxn, womxn of color, queer, trans, non-binary, and gender nonconforming artists REACHING OUT in order to support one another and elevate artists that are typically underrepresented among the mainstream of this field.
We aim to create an inclusive and comfortable meeting space where complicated, progress-oriented dialogue can create pathways to awareness, compassion, empowerment and change.
Everyone has a role to play in the mission to create a better and more equitable workplace.
LIMBS events are an invitation TO ALL to reach up, down, and across to one another with the common purpose of improving the quality of life in the studio and fulfilling the true potential of an industry that justly compensates and amplifies the creative vision of all perspectives across the spectrum of human experience.
Please join us for our first virtual meeting Saturday, June 20th @ 11am via Zoom to discuss the urgent matters of anti-racism, intersectionality & allyship in mograph and beyond. We have some ideas about how this group can do better, we also hope you consider sharing your thoughts in our group discussion. We acknowledge the awkward format of the video meeting forum and have details on the sign up sheet as to how we hope to keep it organized/on topic.

Hello everyone- we are postponing our June 7th meeting to a later date. We need a beat to regroup after this week's events and we want to respect the space of those who may need time to process this moment before appearing in a professional setting (casual & friendly as our gatherings may be). However, it is not lost on us that the work we do to support and elevate one another to greater opportunities in this field is an important form of activism too. Please consider this just a brief pause so we may breathe, adapt and reflect on the subject of how we can be of most help to you during this time. We will announce a new date very soon. Take care. 💜
