Last year, my partner was diagnosed with colon cancer. Earlier this year, he bravely faced a 17-hour surgery to remove the tumor, followed by two additional surgeries due to complications. Itās been an incredibly tough journey, and though the road to recovery is still long, I couldnāt be prouder of him for his strength and resilience. He calls himself a ācancer thriver,ā not just a survivor, a spirit that inspires me every day.
Going through this experience has taught me what truly matters in life, a lesson Iāll carry with me always. Weāre endlessly grateful to the doctors and nurses who supported us, not only with their skill but with kindness and empathy that made all the difference.
Doing this PSA together felt incredibly meaningful, and with our 10th wedding anniversary coming up in December, Iām reminded that every moment really is a gift.
