✨CJ appreciation post!! ✨ It occurred to me I’ve never formally introduced you all to the man who made “Joy Glowing” possible: my phenomenal engineer-turned-friend, CJ Metz! “Ceej” is the co-owner/producer/many-hat-wearer behind @sillandgladecabin in Virginia — along with his darling wife, Jenna — where so many lovely humans, like myself, have had a chance to make unbelievable art in the most serene setting imaginable. He’s been working endlessly with me on a 5-song EP for almost 2 full years now (oops!), and continues to do more to help me succeed as an artist than I can adequately express over social media. Who knew sending a studio inquiry way back in 2023 was going to be one of the best decisions I’d ever make. I have a feeling we’re in the homestretch of the EP now, so y’all get ready! In just FOUR WEEKS my debut EP “Peacekeeper” will finally be YOURS! A collection of 5 sweet songs, 5 years in the making, finally seeing the light of day 2 years after I first stepped foot into the Cabin (@sillandgladecabin ). Thank y’all for ~hanging in there~ with me over the past decade or so of always promising & teasing new music. I’ve consistently loved being a live performer over the recording process, but CJ @sillandgladecabin has helped me overcome, and trust me when I say that sometimes timing IS everything. The best things are worth the wait.☺️ To this point, as a New Year’s resolution, I’ve released a bunch of voice-memo recordings that I love, precisely for their awkwardness (and I hope you’ve come to like them, too)! You can find those demos on Bandcamp and other streaming sites. For the month of May, I am so pleased to announce I’ve released the fully-produced title track for my upcoming debut EP — “Peacekeeper” — as a Bandcamp-exclusive single* + a first look at the album artwork, done by your’s truly. (I feel like I should note: I had to create a vertical background so Instagram would cooperate, but the actual artwork will look much cleaner on digital platforms). This is the scariest & most “explicit” song I’ve ever written. Seemed only fitting to be the one the rest of the EP circulated around. Thank you so much to the incredible folks (credited in the comments below) who delivered such an incredible performance of such a raw, jagged song. *All proceeds/sales received through Bandcamp will be donated to the Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (@mnadv ). Just sittin’ & reminiscin’ about how lucky I am to say this year will be my THIRD year playing our local @songbird_festival_we at @marylandhall ! May 3rd 2026! I am even luckierrr to announce that local legend and friend to all - @papalebas - will be joining me, adding some lovely texture to my original songs. We play on the outdoor Tree Stage from 1:20-1:50! This all-day, all-ages festival will be taking place RAIN OR SHINE! So come early and come prepared!!
