Check out Hermpac’s Project of the Month by @threesixtyarchitecture — featuring Accoya Grey bevelled moulding with no coating, just the natural beauty of the timber doing its thing.
Congratulations to @dla.architects for having their Urlar Winery project recently shortlisted for the Commercial Architecture Award at the 2025 Wellington Architecture Awards.
This remarkable project features our Yellow Cedar in CP836 on the exterior, finished with Dryden’s Walnut coating.
Hey, Todd Rochford here. Looking back at Ti-Point and how it all started - this is where it began…
My first site visit revealed a steep, challenging terrain. The house was built into the hillside, surrounded by sloping dirt and scattered volcanic rock.
The goal? To transform this rugged space into a thriving landscape in under two seasons, with a February deadline. It needed to feel like it had always been there, seamlessly blending into the coastal environment. With a steep incline, tough access, and unpredictable winter weather, it was no small feat - but we were up for the challenge.

Huruhi House – a sanctuary where family and friends come together to unwind and connect with the ever-changing beauty of the landscape. Set along the contours of a steep site, this home flows naturally with the land, with a second boatshed pavilion bringing the sea right to your doorstep.
Designed to feel like an “encampment,” the buildings are softened by lush living roofs that blend seamlessly with the environment, while winding paths guide you from above to the intimate spaces below. Inside, the distinctive vaulted ceiling mirrors the undulating landscape, drawing the eye up to the surrounding slopes through high-level windows.
Whareroa House – a warm family retreat nestled in the heart of nature, designed to embrace both the landscape and the people within it. Crafted with timber panelling that wraps the walls in warmth, this triangular form tucks into the hillside at the head of a valley, where native forest and the tranquil waters of Lake Taupo create the perfect backdrop.
A place to slow down, gather, and reconnect with family and friends, Whareroa invites you in with its natural warmth, from the timber interior to the soft glow of fireplaces at night. The living roof and light stalks above add an artistic touch, bringing light and life to the design, while offering an inviting elevation for those walking the track through the surrounding bush.
Cladding is going up on our Kernel Loop project in Hanley’s farm and by gosh it’s beautiful! @hermpac Kanda is a great choice by our team at @immersion_architecture .
Stay tuned for the end results because she’s going to be impressive.
