In March, together with @heretical_objects , we hosted workshop “耳朵搖搖 Earsquake” at @taipeiartbookfair , @chung_hsing_new_village , @1701_minibar , @cedarshanghai , @jiazazhi and @411_hz :) In the workshop, together with amazing participants, we explored the sounds of DC motors and servo motors using a Nano board. We also explored sounds in everyday objects found in hardware stores, convenience stores, cosmetic shops, dad’s kitchens, delivery tableware, and items discovered by the participants themselves. It was a dream-like and intense journey, made possible by the countless helps and support from the venue, the space, our family and friends, the participants, and all the people we encountered along the way. Considering that it was our first time hosting a workshop like this, everyone was incredibly kind and supportive. The conversations truly inspired us to keep improving, and we would love to come back and make more sounds together!! This trip was partly supported by @stimuleringsfonds Photos by @yocloudyun and the wonderful participants around us.

- SUNday, May 24 2026 SPRING Performances nr 1: Heretical Objects Experimental music Yuxin Hu & Matteo Gherardi Vignolo “At SPRING we will perform original music using everyday objects to do sound experimentation or instruments used in unconventional ways.” Start: 20:00 - SPRING: An afternoon and evening with sound art, interaction, music, visual art, group activity, poetry, noise. In a private garden near the center of Arnhem, NL If you want to join, please register at: [email protected] - @heretical_objects : The duo explores the sonic potential of different materials and the shifting relationships between humans and objects. They use unconventional method to invocate objects’ multistability. This approach let the objects they experiment free from their default function. Heretical Objects base their musical arsenal to few, essential instrumental components. Through an iterative process of human–object–human–object (loop × n) hearing perception and reflection, they form dialogues with objects and space gradually into music phrase. Yuxin Hu栩 created musical tools by using different type of microphones/diaphragms to hear objects acoustic and electromagnetic natures. She connects contact mic to different recycled objects, pickup coils with batteries, mobile devices, and other circuit boards to explore the electronic-magnetic field surrounds us. Matteo Gherardi Vignolo uses handmade superball sticks to dives into the unexpected sounds of conventional instruments, using percussive instruments to generate unexpected sounds, such as long notes, melodies and sounds with long attack. This unconventional sounds are thought not only as a musical device but also to explore the physical perception of space, and the role that sound can have in that regard Heretical Objects mainly perform their sonic concepts via free impro and open compositions, reflecting on sound characteristics such as space (distance-proximity), density, frequency complexity. All of these things differ them from the conventional or historicized musical system Video: /watch?v=4yQE5eeF54A hereticalobjects.cargo.site/

Date: Wednesday, April 29 Time: 19:30–21:00 (UTC+8) Guests: 胡钰馨 Yuxin Hu @frozen1900_ Moderator: 洋 Yang Yang When noise meets Futurism, when the human voice first “speaks” from the screen, when Foley begins to “fake reality,” and when soundscapes start to reshape the visual, sound is no longer a secondary layer — it becomes a way of actively constructing the world. This is an experimental online Talk combining sound design appreciation with a live demonstration. The session will unfold in two parts: the first will be an auditory tracing of sound design history; followed by a live sound demonstration and hands-on exploration using 16mm footages shot during our ”Botanical Lenses“ filmmaking camp. Program | A “Sound Design” Experiment Wednesday, April 29 “Sound Design (SFX)” and “Music Composition” are merely different ways of perceiving sound. “Composition” organizes sound through melody and structure, while SFX delves into the microscopic levels of Pitch, Rhythm, and Texture. Faced with the standardized limitations imposed on sound by today’s pop industry, we break down the barrier between composition and SFX through the combination of Foley and synthesis equipment, exploring how to awaken the material potential of sound and reshape the sensory texture of hearing. Stay tuned for more talk details! #jilucommune #jilucommuneprogram #sounddesign #sfx

Itmotr Radio and Black Brick Underground present… ‘A listening session with’ Heretical Objects (live) & Remma (dj). Join us on Saturday the 9th of May (09.05) for an explorative, deep and chilled out listening session on a special location with a good sound system… For this one we have invited two amazing acts; Heretical Objects (live) and Remma (dj). Heretical Objects is an improvisation duo by Matteo Gherardi Vignolo and Yuxin Hu (栩) that transforms everyday objects into experimental instruments. Combining acoustic and electronic approaches, they explore the hidden sonic potential of domestic and found materials. Through improvisation, they create an evolving dialogue between human, object, and space, where all elements continuously influence and reshape one another. Remma is a DJ from Enschede and co-founder of Itmotr Radio. Mostly known as a dancefloor focused artist and influenced by the deeper side electronic music, Remma will dive deeper into the odd chambers of his selections, seeking for an in depth listening experience where the abstract meets narrative. RSVP at [email protected] including your full name. The first 30 registrations (presale: €3) will receive further information via mail. 19:30 - 22:30 Entrance: €3 Hope to see you there ✨

Video clips from “To Feed Back”, which happened in January 30th :3 @capslock__arnhem @uitnachtarnhem A big thanks to everyone who came by, we have a lot of fun!!!!! Heretical Objects(@heretical_objects ) and DuctTape Collective (@ducttapecollective ) collaborate on this performance. It is built around acoustic feedback, shaped by the shifting distance between microphones and speakers between two humans — whether inside a telephone shell or within the surrounding environment. The performance also explores the bodily irritated movements as a potential intersection between human and machine, where physical presence becomes part of the signal. Heretical Objects clips at @radio.worm 25 HOUR RELAY! Many thanks to @yochristineoy @naisyuan_ye for the video ;o This is part 1. Using the acoustic-electronic method, Matteo plays his superball stick on an ancient monster cymbal, while Yuxin performs with her “Sheltar” (shelf + guitar =v=), tracing a line between realism and surrealism. We live in a world where countless things happen every hour, every minute, every second. But have you ever paused to listen to the everyday objects around you? ENJOY! #freeimprovisation #experimentalmusician #soundart
