Congratulations to re-recording mixer Henry Hawks for winning the Best Sound Award at San Giò Verona Video Festival for his work on Vox Humana. Here are the words from the jury:
“For its excellent sound design that, through expert use of audio recording, dialogues with the sound of the universe. Together with a zoologist and a journalist, the sound engineer becomes a protagonist in an anthropological investigation into the causes of earthquakes. The soundscape is not only supportive—it becomes the voice of the landscape, enhancing the film's visual strength and turning ambient noise into an emotional and symbolic bridge. "Vox Humana" delivers an immersive experience where the tension between nature and culture becomes palpable, making the unknown soundscape a central narrative element and creating a powerful synergy between image and sound that provokes deep reflection.”
I chatted with @postperspective about the sound I did for @don.ebb ‘s film The Headhunter’s Daughter.
I feel so happy and lucky to have been a helping hand in this film.
