God, I wish Americans were Europeans and we could get better cars
There isn’t another photo. Fun fact: I now have 3 canons in my apartment (not the camera brand)
This evening I went through my photos. Many memories came up that felt like they occurred yesterday, only to discover years have passed. I look at pictures of friends and family, some gazes and faces, movements and laughs, are seared into my brain. People I haven’t seen in a long time, or don’t expect to see ever again have sectioned off and purchased forever (seemingly) real estate in my mind. Others: my father, sister, mother, best friends. I stare and I don’t recognize. If you know me, I have a strong memory (I would say a terrific memory) and on this walk down memory lane I remember; it is less about these encapsulations of time and space through pixels dictating my memory, it is about my soul and the truth and trust I have in creating a definition. A definition of the people and places I have and will continue to love.

I had driven here from Clinton. I was reading Elephant Vanishes (Murakami) or a collection of Jack London short stories. I never cared much for Prospect when I was growing up but I wanted to find the beauty so it is where I ended and where I spent the next hour. After, I drove to my old neighbors grave (Adam) and reminisced… meeting an old man who quote “am beginning to know more people in here (the cemetery) than out there (the world)”.
This photo was taken on my uncles 110 Minolta and the undeveloped roll travelled through 3 separate homes over 4 years before this image was solidified.
I miss this place. I miss this time. I also look forward to the next time, the next place, the next image.
Farewell to 2025.
A couple weeks spent on Martha’s Vineyard with my dad and eventually new family joined.
Hard to be a God rules, After Life is the best, Werckmeister Harmonies (sorry) didnt do much for me anymore.
I cooked several great meals, I saw my sister, pet my cat (and force fed him healing drugs which he absolutely loved), went to Cafe Vittoria… can not complain.
Then I drove back to Chicago which included 3 snow storms (1 quite bad), a reunion with @olivewo_ and I’ll be the first to admit it… I’ve hated Cleveland but after this visit… I was wrong. Cleveland rules (oh what America used to be). Myles Garrett should never leave the city you sports betting jerks.

To all the beautiful weddings I was able to attend this year (congrats to you all).
To re-falling in love with film. After making one and then having a rocky summer to now nearing the finish line with post… also helps that I’ve only been watching bangers recently.
Yesterday I rode 3 trains, 2 buses, 1 plane, 1 ferry, and 1 car (wish there was a bike in there). Now I concoct plans for 2026 (script? concerts? Work?)

Portland Thanksgiving diary.
Also went to Macys, ate tamales, made albondigas, watched the Packers win, drank tea, got a haircut, watched some meh movies, ate some great sandwiches, walked a dog, and then flight got cancelled and got a 30 minute layover in San Diego and got to conclude with e beautiful sunset over the pacific. It’s snowing/has snowed in Chicago and isn’t that delightful…
Returned to repack and head straight to Kansas City to then quickly return and practice with @pouchband which will have shows next year and then leave to return to Mass for the second part of December.
