Start where you can with what you can, and your day-to-day things can add up to something much bigger   1. 🥙 Eat more plant based – leading with plants for protein is a major way to make an impact. Simple switches (like dairy to plant milks reduces 68% of the emissions) gives you the chance to make a difference every mealtime!  2. 💸 Move your money – check out @mmmoneymatter_ to make sure your money isn’t being used to support fossil fuels and deforestation  3. ⚒️ Reduce, reuse and repair – reduce waste by cutting out disposables (#BorrowCup anyone?), reuse what you already have and check out @restartproject to find a repair cafe near you   4. 🚞 Travel green – make use of railcards and cycle to work schemes so the greener options are cheaper. See if your workplace has #ClimatePerks (extra annual leave for skipping plane travel!) and find all the train inspo at seat61.com 5. 📲 Keep your Tech #TimeAfterTime – repair it, resell it, buy refurb and recycle, just keep those valuable materials out of landfill! Go to @recycleyourelectricals_ to find your closest point for rehoming or recycling tech.  6. 💡 Switch to renewable energy – see if @uswitchuk can find you a better energy deal with a greener tariff, for example you could save money by using power at off peak times, or even make money by using electricity when there’s excess power in the system.  7. 📣 Ask for change – use our email template to contact your MP and request their support for environmental issues.   8. 👖 Slow down fashion – just start by shopping secondhand first!  9. 🪲 Support local biodiversity – find a community green space near you, help birds and pollinators  10. 🫱🏼‍🫲🏾 Involve your family, friends and workplace – send this video to a friend to start! We’re all for getting saucy... just not when it comes to your recycling bin 🍝 Leftover food can mess up recycling for everyone, so we’ve partnered up with @lambeth_council on a juicy new campaign, asking people to keep their recycling clean to make it count. @wilfredwebsterofficial hit the streets of Brixton to test local recycling knowledge, and they had plenty to say! Turns out, no spa treatments needed - just a quick empty and rinse for those greasy, gloopy tins, jars and tubs so they can be turned into something new. 🛁🥒

It was wonderful to host Hubbub in Parliament, a fantastic charity that makes circular living a reality. Got a Halloween treat seeing behind-the-scenes of the @traid warehouse 🙀 The fashion industry is responsible for around 10% of global emissions, and we waste a scary amount of clothes. Shopping second-hand means reducing waste, reducing emissions (not making new clothes!) and saving money too... so it’s a real trick!
