Mountains and Trees: the film tour. Come and see our new film, Mountains and Trees, at a screening near you. The Mountain Races came to life in Kyrgyzstan in 2018 with the inaugural edition of the @silkroadmountainrace . Since then, the series has developed into a collection of what are widely considered the most inspiring ultra distance races in the world. ‘Mountains and Trees’ takes a closer look at the person behind the races, Nelson Trees. The film explores why people attempt these types of races with no prizes, what they learn, and what they experience in the remote places that host the events. Join us in Zurich, Paris, Oregon, Bristol, Manchester, Sheffield, Aberfoyle, Budapest, Tolga, Athens, BAM! Europe (Italy) and more cities yet to be announced. An Albion & Pertex production, Mountains and Trees is touring throughout 2026 and will be released online later in the year. Find out more via the link in bio.

Applications for the first edition of Taurus Mountain Race close tomorrow, Friday January 16th at midnight GMT and we are incredibly excited to see what is shaping up to be one of our biggest women’s fields to date. With over 50+ women’s applications, we’d love to see even more on the start line. Hear from a few of the riders who’ve put their names forward to race this fall, and what it would mean to have an even bigger women’s field. Even if you are on the fence about racing, we encourage you to apply now as we do expect the event to be oversubscribed and we won’t be operating a waitlist. Applications for the program inaugural edition of Taurus Mountain Race are now open. You can head to the link in our bio to complete yours until January 16th. Linked in the application process is our Race Manual. Please read it carefully as it contains all the information you’ll need to complete your application. At this stage we are only providing the distance between resupply points and checkpoints in order to keep as much of the route under wraps before October and discourage pre-riding. Racers will get the GPX file closer to the event date. Given the reception to what we’ve shared so far, this race may very well be over subscribed and successful applications will likely go into a lottery. We’ll notify those selected to race on January 23rd. We look forward to reviewing your applications! Supported by: @albion.cycling @pertexfabric @tailfincycling

We are proud to announce that @albion.cycling will be supporting the Mountain Races across all four events in 2026! It’s a real pleasure to continue the collaboration with the team at Albion, a company that lives and breathes bikepacking and adventure. After a great first season working together in 2025, we can’t wait to build on that in the new year! These shots come from our last scouting trip for the final addition to the series: @taurusmountainrace This particular spot can be found at 37.4545, 34.6822 We’ll be keeping the full route under wraps until a few weeks before the start, but you’ll get some glimpses of what’s coming and enough information in the race manual to know what you’re getting yourself into if you do decide to sign up. The race covers 1460KM / 36,000m and will take place from 14-24 October 2026 Registration opens on the 2nd of January! Edit @chistyakov.evgeni 🎥 @nelsontrees

With only a few days left in the year, it’s about time we finally share some details on the latest addition to the Mountain Races: Taurus Mountain Race. DATES: 14-24 October 2026 START: Antalya FINISH: Erdemli DISTANCE: 1460KM / 36,000m REGISTRATION OPENS JANUARY 2ND It’s been a long time coming but we’re finally happy that we have something rather special to share with you. With anticipation high for this one, we’ll be keeping a lot of it under wraps. You’ll get some glimpses of what’s coming, but we don’t plan to share the full route until shortly before the start of the race. We want everyone to embark on this adventure together in the first edition under the same conditions. That being said, you’ll get plenty of information in the Race Manual for planning purposes. Without wanting to risk over promising, race director @nelsontrees thinks this may well be the best route he’s come up with for a bikepacking race. It’s an incredibly diverse journey through the Taurus mountains of Türkiye. The route features everything from verdant forests to desert plateaus and soaring rocky peaks. There’s very little in the way of transitions and there are literally dozens of highlights. It’s probably best to just let the images do the talking.
