Still feeling the joy from Full Belly Bread’s debut at Hella Plants Market this weekend. Thank you for buying my sourdough loaves—we sold out ALL but 1 Buttermilk and 1 Mexican Hot Chocolate loaves (perfectly fine with me because they’re my favorite sandwich loaf and dessert loaf!) I’m already dreaming of the next bake day!

We had a great time at our first @hellaplantsmarket this weekend. Seeing our friends and family, and meeting new customers at the market brought us so much joy—we really appreciate you! The menu will be live on our website tomorrow for Friday deliveries and Saturday porch pickup in Hayward. Christmas Eve preorders will also be live this week, so stay tuned for that. I had my playlist on shuffle and @hellagela popped up. They eased my mind and heart on a crazy day. EVERGREEN is one of my favorite songs! This is up there with @caroleking ’s TAPESTRY for me. And then and their significant other, @brujajuana , sang me down the aisle on my wedding day! They’ve shared so many special moments with me and my family. Thanks dear friend for your brief yet loving visit. Miss you my Libra sib 🦙💫♥️

GENESIS FERMIN (they/them) is a gardener and multifaceted artist who cultivates lush fruits and soul-illuminating songs. Their music documents the ache of longing, vivid childhood memories, and a life lived against the grain, blurring every boundary. Genesis grows music and food in the Bay Area, and is the co-founder of the I Need Space Queer Music Festival, founded to support a diverse, international array of queer artists during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their debut album, Genesis Fermin, was released in 2021 and produced by Gina Villalobos, and the “gentle acoustic rhythms” on this album are described by Americana UK as “smartly written, [with] a strong vocal.” Come along on the journey – easily enjoyed, not easily forgotten. / The Sampaguitas & Friends: Journeys of A Third Culture is a celebration of Filipino-American history and the third culture experience of the present and future via music, dance and stories.
