NEW STINGRAY SINGLE OUT TODAY! “Heartbreak One”is now streaming everywhere via @royalpotatofamily . Produced and mixed by @damienpagelewis at @2200studios
The idea for ‘Heartbreak One’ came about through my counseling work for substance use and mental health facilities around the Bay Area. I do a handful of these groups with teens. We use songs as a way for them to access feelings. Sometimes folks will choose a song that reminds them of their first breakup. One of the kids said to the group ‘I’ll never love again.’ Seeing and hearing how crushed this person was, I flashed back to my first heartbreak and remembered just how brutal that was. That first one hurts so bad. There’s nothing like it. - GL

Happy Birthday Jelani. The problem is when I look at you, I still see this and yet you are 34. I do not know how to reconcile. I guess just love you and admire the human you have become. Yr Auntie
