Appendix | Index is a group exhibition curated by Aram Masharqa, featuring the work of ten artists living and working in London: Karina Akopyan, Molly Burrows, Matilde Converio, Millie Earthy, Simone Bashir-Ellis, Maya King-Dabbs, Paul Majek, Tawfik Naas, Kelly Wu, and performances by Jessica Panchi-Pacheco. The show investigates the ‘bookend’, the fragments which hold the book together and offer new ways to unlock, re-enter, or clarify the ‘main body’. Relegated to the backmatter, these extra parts are both redundant and fundamental to our understanding. They ask, what kind of knowledges, if any, are possible from inside the part?
Oluwaseun (Seun) Olayiwola is a poet, critic, choreographer and performer based in London. He published his debut collection of poetry, Strange Beach, with Fitzcarraldo Editions in 2025. His creative and critical work has been published in the Guardian, The Poetry Review, PN Review, Oxford Poetry, the Telegraph, the TLS and elsewhere. His choreographic work has been presented at the V&A, The Place, The Central School of Ballet, and Studio Voltaire.
