Hello everyone! I have received a lot of inquiries about my Cheongsam store, @hoeng_gong_silk_co , in West Village, and it is a place that I have kept secret in the Chinese community in NYC.
I would open it to anyone who understands the history of cheongsam, appreciates its beauty, and would wear it in a respectful way. Please DM me if you would like to make an appointment.
Our founder @heather__anan was featured in Vogue Singapore‘s January/February 2026 ’Art‘ Issue!
Thanks for this opportunity from @voguesingapore . In the interview, Heather recounts her awakening to Chinese aesthetics and emphasizes the history of cheongsam. As a pivotal element of modern Chinese dress, cheongsam was gradually overlooked after the millennium and has often been misunderstood. In fact, it embodies the achievements of the 20th‑century movement for women’s liberation and is closely tied to the global history of fashion over the past century.
The published photos were selected from our 2023–2024 lookbook, filmed in Penang and New York City by @surou1998 .

Hello everyone! During New York Fashion Week, we are collaborating with the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) to explore the museum’s collection of 20th century cheongsams. The talk occurs on Wednesday, February 11st, 6:30-7:30 p.m. We will trace how this iconic garment evolved during a period of profound social, political, and aesthetic transformation, as Chinese women navigated new ideas of identity, cosmopolitanism, and self-expression at home and abroad.
🎫Eventbrite: . Or tickets can be purchased at the front desk.
本场讲座聚焦于MOCA的旗袍藏品,将为大家展现来自四个华人移民家庭、四位身世不同的女士的馆藏旗袍。她们是Phoebe Chen(余叔恒)、Chang Yu-I(张幼仪)、Chao Huai Tung(张怀瞳,张作霖三女儿)和Aileen Pei(蒋士云,中华民国央行总裁贝祖贻之妻)。
