Today, we are excited to share that with the leadership of our Native Community Grantmaking Circle, the Fund of the Sacred Circle (FSC) is awarding an additional 2 years of grant funding to their existing grantees.
This decision reflects our commitment to Native communities in light of federal funding cuts to Native-led organizations and the need for sustainability. Across the United States, Native organizations receive a fraction of 1% of philanthropic funding. We hope that this reminds mainstream philanthropy that Native organizations should not have to compete to fight for their futures.
