Tenants showed up. Tenants signed on. Tenants stood together. 200 signed mailing cards! Renters in Brooklyn Center showed up last Monday at the city council, uniting to demand that the City Council protect and uphold our tenant protection ordinances. These policies keep people housed, stable, and safe. We won’t let them be weakened or rolled back. When tenants come together, our voices are loud, clear, and impossible to ignore. We DEMAND Brooklyn Center City Council to protect renters and keep tenant protections. #brooklyncentertenantprotections #wedeservehousingstability #hearourvoices

On Wednesday, ACER stood at the Capitol to testify in support of HF3424, a commonsense step toward making an already overwhelming moment, the threat of eviction, just a little more manageable for families in our community. We’ve heard countless stories that make one thing clear: 14 days simply isn’t enough time to respond to a pre-eviction notice. Extending that timeline by another 14 days would offer families critical breathing room to secure safe housing, explore resources, and stabilize their situations and strengthening housing security for all of us. When our neighbors have the time and support they need, our whole community is stronger. Stand with us. Support HF3424. Reach out to your representative and share your story and your voice in support of keeping our communities housed. #Tenantprotections #Keepfamilieshoused #HF3424

Yesterday, ACER welcomed MN DEED, community partners, and Northwest Suburb businesses to our office for a Workforce & Capital Access Roundtable. It was a morning grounded in honest conversation, where business owners connected directly with the DEED Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Diterctor of Public Engagement and partners to share challenges and co-create solutions. The gathering created space to push forward real opportunities for economic growth and expand access to capital for the many vibrant businesses across the Northwest Suburbs. Most importantly, this wasn’t a one-time conversation. It marked the start of ongoing collaboration, working together across sectors to build a stronger, more responsive ecosystem that meets both business and regional economic needs. Stay tuned for more opportunities to be part of these conversations and help shape our shared growth.
