Acoustic version of “Deal” with @keithsinclairmusic at @2ndfloorgastown . So much fun to re-imagine this song so stripped down and have so much space to play with dynamic and texture. Singing is fun 💃🏾

I have so much to say about Friday’s show but the most important is: THANK YOU
To everyone who made the time and the effort to prioritize coming out and spending their evening with me, I appreciate your presence so deeply - it means the world. Thank you 🤍
To the unbelievably talented people on stage who shared their gifts and skill with me and my music, you are the heroes of the night. I feel so blessed to make music with truly some of the absolute best musicians in our city. You are all way too cool to be playing my music but I’m so glad you do it anyways. 🤍
To the stage that feels like home: thank you to the Fox Cabaret for having me again 🤍
I’ve never in my life done a show with my voice in the state it was in on Friday - I couldn’t even get through soundcheck earlier that day. After spending my evenings and weekends for 3 months organizing, planning, re recording backgrounds, writing out horn parts, imagining transitions etc., my body let me down and there was nothing I could do about it.
I have mixed feelings looking back at the footage but all in all, I know that every moment on stage is a blessing I don’t take lightly. I started organizing these shows years ago out of frustration that the music powers that be in BC never understood me as an artist or gave me the opportunities I knew I deserved - I wanted to prove that I could have a successful show and since then we’ve had MANY. Deepest gratitude to everyone who helps me make it happen.
Now someone book me for the next one so I don’t have to plan it myself 😩
ONE WEEK AWAY!
We’re getting ready for you! I am beyond nervous and excited to finally be back on stage in this way. Grab a ticket (link in bio) and a friend (that one’s on you) and come share some music with us!
See you there 🤍
Thanks to all who made it out to see our performance yesterday afternoon in the gallery at @gibson_sfu . It was so good to hear laughter as we fumbled with our bottles, vases, glassware, water and milk.
Thanks to @hatimsings@mr.tenderwiggles and @markuswolfus for your voices and to all the kind folks who sent me these snippets of documentation.
“Edge Effects,” curated by @kimberlyjeanphillips is open Weds-Sun, 11AM-5PM, until February 15, 2026.
