Finally got a little time to get the fiber laser moved!!!! Also getting to the end of the water course amusement park pieces, it’s been a giant learning process. We’ve really pulled into the equipment resources to get this project done from 3-D prints and the 7 axis robotic arm, multiple materials through the impingement mix hardshell rig and running some pretty specialized paints for durability and UV resistance that sticks to the urethane has been a lot to figure out, but we’re almost there.
“Can you prototype and production-test at the same time?” At Hatch X, that’s often the assignment. We’re building custom ninja course elements for a water amusement park- testing 3D printed parts, flexible coatings, adhesion promoters, UV top coats, and specialty paints… all to figure out what survives real-world abuse before it ever reaches guests. This is the part people don’t usually see: the experiments, failures, chemistry, material testing, and rapid problem-solving behind every finished environment. Every test teaches us something. And that learning becomes the product.
