A riotous evening at Hatch with costume, props, much discussion around marshmallows and some confusion over how to do a selfie. The best way to play. #newmusic #experiments #play #performanceart #contemporarymusic #singing

Hatch returns on Wednesday 5th November, 6-9pm at St Pancras Clock tower and we’ve had one more space come up last-minute for someone to sing. Hatch is the place for pro singers working on contemporary repertoire to bring your works in progress, experiments and not-quite-sure bits of vocal rep to workshop with other professional singers in a supportive, curious environment. In the words of one participant: “You two have created something absolutely amazing. Honestly, I floated out of the clock tower, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been so excited and optimistic about music. Can’t wait to see more and more.” Would you like to join us? /hatch [email protected] #newmusic #contemporarymusic #experiments #singing #play

Join us for some more rooftop hatchery at St Pancras Clock Tower next Wednesday 3rd September. Hatch is a space for pro singers of contemporary repertoire to workshop and experiment with music you’re working on in a safe, collaborative environment with the opportunity for peer to peer feedback. Slots for people to sing are now full, but we could still squeeze in a couple more non-singing participants. The only requirement is to be a professional singer working with contemporary repertoire and to come with a curious mind. Get in touch if you’d like to join us. /hatch [email protected] #contemporarymusic #experiments #newmusic

Once you’ve enjoyed the summer sunshine, we’ve a little date for you to pop in your diaries for our next HATCH evening on Wednesday 3rd September. This will be the most joyous back to school you could ever imagine, a gentle evening of exploring new repertoire, experimenting with noise and performance, and connecting to other people doing the same thing. Hatch is open to all pro singers working on contemporary repertoire. This is the space to bring work in progress, work that needs a refresh, new ideas you’ve not tried yet and need a safe hatchery. We want to hear them all! For full details, follow this link: /hatch [email protected] #newmusic #experiments #peersupport #contemporarymusic

A joyful evening which ended in a squeeze into the lift at our latest Hatch. I think we were all feeling pretty wrung out by the day and the heat before we started, but once again together we found a really special creative energy workshopping, experimenting and laughing together. Brilliant to have new participants @oskarmccarthy @owainpark and @rubyclawrence with us too. 🙌

I read this quote from Julia Cameron shortly after we launched Hatch earlier this year and was so delighted at the synchronicity! Art does, indeed, require a safe hatchery, so here we go again with another evening of exploration, encouragement, and experimentation with our second Hatch session. #newmusic #experiments #theartistsway #singing #contemporarymusic #contemporarymusician

We’re at it again! Hatch session 2 will take place on Wednesday 7th May, 6-9pm in Central London. Hatch is a new space for professional singers of contemporary music to share and workshop new work* in a supportive, low-key environment with the opportunity for peer-to-peer feedback.  Bring us your work in progress, your ideas, dreams and wonderings, your half-mixed potions, your beautiful creations. Come here to re-wild your singing. Each performing participant will have space for approx 30 minutes. Bring what you want to bring and present it as you wish - this is your space to use as best suits your needs. Non-performing participants are also crucial at Hatch, providing a supportive audience and offering peer feedback as appropriate. We plan to run Hatch every 2-3 months and envisage people attending as regularly as possible, sometimes as performers, sometimes as listeners. Hatch is also a social space for professional contemporary singers and composers to meet and network, discover new repertoire and performance practices, and to join a community of the curious. Further details at: /hatch [email protected] Please apply by 23rd April 🙏 #newmusic #experiments #community #contemporarymusic #contemporarymusician #peersupport
