Am I delusional? Yes Operation bench 100kg and run a half marathon begins! I’m taking a year out from competing as my body needs respite, but I am a firm believer in doing hard things is what makes us feel most alive 🤷‍♀️ I’ll be under the watchful eyes of @quadsksmith and @mhpwrthr to get the most out of both my running and my lifting, and actually make me follow through on this goal 😬 I haven’t run for over 10 years and have been chasing a 100kg for a long time. My aim is to run a race in September, and I’ll be documenting my progress up to that point because this transition is scary and I’ll take as much advice as I can!

Home Nations 2025 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 167.5/92.5/177.5 [email protected] How boring would life be if we got everything we wanted all the time? I say that every time I compete I learn something, this time it’s the value of humility. Despite my best efforts and what my neurotic brain would prefer, I cannot control everything. I am not the only force in play. My body did not meet where my mind was at yesterday, but it gave 100% of what it had on the day. I am proud of that. Thank you to @4zaperformance , @pwrthrgym , @epapowerlifting and @homenations2025 . I will always cherish experiences like this. 💗

All Englands 2025 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 2nd place 🥈 9/9, 27 white lights 445 (+15) @74.1 170 squat (EM record) 92.5 bench 182.5 deadlift As always the brain dump is on stories, but this meet felt like a real turnaround for me. I am so proud of myself 😎 I am hugely thankful to the following people and places: @papepowerlifting for getting me my first 9/9 in 4 years @4zaperformance for making me the best version of Lily on and off the platform @pwrthrgym for being a home @allenglandchampionships for a great meet! Keep going 🧡🖤

95kg!!! 5kg to go! I’ve hit this once before, a year ago. I feel stronger than ever. @katie_rimell my good luck charm 🥰 Followed by deadlifts (145kgx2), 25kg deficit push ups, hammer curls, and run: Intervals, 3min run/2min walk, 20 min total I definitely feel behind on running compared to where bench is, but equally feel myself getting a lot fitter. Trusting in @mhpwrthr plan to get me ready for a sub-2 half in September 🤪

SBD Saturdays looking a little different now! I went and bought my first pair of running shoes after this session 💀 Overall, taking my mind out of competitive powerlifting and into a new goal has freed me of so much self-inflicted pressure without compromising on pushing myself to achieve my best. I truly believe we were made to do hard things (as my friend @krysialifts always says) and sometimes that’s not lifting the most weight, but pushing my brain and body to try something new. I’m having a lot of fun and still feel strong and capable 🙂‍↔️ Full session breakdown: Bench 90kgx1, 2ct singles, AMRAP Belt squat 140x6, 2x10 Deadlift 140x2, 1x3 paused, 2x3 Push ups, lat pulldowns, iliac rows, hammer curls 15 min run (60% effort) 6 rounds 6 cal ski/60 second cycle
