2025 dp reel!
had a blast this past year helping so many wonderful projects come to life. It's an incredible feeling to be able to call this my "full time job," and I can't wait to continue to grow in the years to come.
If you're in need of a DP with a kit, dry sense of humor, or obsession with his cat, I'm open and available for work!
stills and clips from @grantbeans recent project
I shoot a lot of content these days. Sometimes it can feel a little repetitive; so when Grant approached me about this project, I knew I couldn't resist the opportunity to put just a little too much effort into a joke! The team was incredible, and especially after chatting about future ambitions in film, it's clear to me they'll somehow go further than they already have.
Also shoutout to @loomeed for randomly showing up to help out. Still don't know where our DoorDash order is

A recent "one man camera/lighting army" short I executed with the Raw Color team, all while in the thick of some nasty food poisoning. Despite how I felt physically on set (don't ever let a production order you Chipotle for lunch a day before a big project), it was a pleasure working with this team!

some personal stills from "The House on the Lake," (2021) a feature film I directed with @ellisonwinterstein while at @eviltwindigital
While it may sound unusual from someone whose personality revolves around "Director of Photography," in college I would split my interest between DP and Director! Based on a number of shorts made in our production classes, HOTL was a mostly-silent, psychological horror bent on scaring its audience through the format. Made for under $2k, shot in about two-weeks during our 2021 summer break.
It's especially interesting to me noticing how visual patterns and personal practices developed from this project! On one of our very late nights, after the team framed up a certain (risky) shot pointing at a dock, I got hit with my first ever "Oh. We're making something good" moments. Today, I can't leave a setup until I've felt the same.
You can currently watch The House on the Lake free on Tubi. Check it out!
a couple weeks ago, I had the pleasure of Directing the Photography for @mannmade.films wonderful "When You're Ready" a film written by and starring the incredible @leepugsleyla for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge
I speak a lot about how it's easy to lose the passion when you make your interests a profession, but anytime I work with this team I'm immediately reminded how impactful creating can be. Collaboration is the most rewarding element of production, and every one of these artists makes this industry a better, more friendly place.

moments from "Sweet Demise," a narrative music video by @messecarfilms , captured by the incredible @samanthaumbay
Working as a full-time DP for over a year now, I sometimes find myself focusing purely on what will pay the rent over artistic fulfillment; thanks to projects like "Sweet Demise" and the incredible artists behind them, the creation reminds me why I even started in this industry.
Thankful for the opportunities, and despite the tumultuous times, the ability to continue
