I was only able to see the Grateful Dead once in their reunion formation. While it was not a classic formation, missing Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir was still front and center leading the band as if they had never stopped playing. It was the first time an assembly of the Grateful Dead had played in almost 20 years. Halfway through the show, a rainbow appeared in the sky over the stadium as if Jerry was smiling approval from above. It was an indescribable experience and will never be replicated. Fare thee well, Bob. We are grateful for the music.
